Since we're having a bit of a drizzly day I've been in the house and doing lots of canning etc., so I've finally been near a tv. I was watching the news reports about the 20+ inches of rain in the Atlanta area. OMG! I know I'm joined by many on here who are wishing some sunny skies for you Tim and everyone else in the area. Do take care.

Thanks for the great message!

At my own house, we've had just under 14 inches this week, 8 of which came between Sunday and Monday; fortunately we had a little water in the garage, but no other major issues.

The estate where I work has a creek running through it, which came up and over the  koi pond (8 feet higher than normal, in a two hour span).  At this point, it appears as though three of the five large fish (around 24 inches long) are gone; the woman who owns the house was out in the torrential rain, rescuing the other two who were caught in azalea bushes as the creek pulled them into the current.

This whole experience has reminded me of how fortunate I am.

Hi Tim (and everyone else!) - I just got back from 5 days in Canada, and we heard no news of any kind until we arrived home this afternoon and saw the flood stories. Glad to hear that you came through OK. Take care......

Thanks to all!

Keep your fingers crossed....we're predicted to get another 2 inches of rain between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning...

Usually not a problem, but the ground is like a wet sponge now (still can't walk on the lawn easily)....
